There is a new option for the SammyEHR. This new feature will globally change the insurance on all patients charts from the current insurance that you are on in the insurance library to the new insurance selected.
Minimum Version Required: Library Insurance, Dr & Facility Update (ilib.exe), 5.06.0338
Release Date: July 16th, 2019.
To accomplish this, you would select the insurance that you want to change on all patients charts, click Info & Options and then Global Search & Replace.
Once you select Global Search & Replace, you are asked for a password.

When click submit after entering in the password you will be brought to a screen where you search for the insurance to update all charts to.
Enter in the name of the insurance for the global change to and you will receive a list to double click on the insurance for the change.
After you select the insurance you will now have other options to select. Those are Change only if it is Primary, Change only if it is Secondary, Change only if it is Tertiary or Change Regardless of Position.
You have the opportunity to select Make the above insurance inactive too. (This must be done before you click Make it so or you will have to change it in the insurance library.)
After you make your selection, you click Make it so.
After you click Make It So, you will receive a confirmation box for you to select Yes or No to accomplish this change.
After you select the insurance you will now have other options to select. Those are Change only if it is Primary, Change only if it is Secondary, Change only if it is Tertiary or Change Regardless of Position.

When you say Yes, the program will go through all of the charts in the system and update them accordingly. You will get a list of the charts that were updated on the right hand side.
The PH will also get updated when this feature is ran.
