Adding Appointments to Archived Days

November 6th, 2019

Appointment Calendar Program, version 5.6.1431

To engage this feature, in the appointment calendar click on Calendar Options, Calendar Setup and click where it say Allow New Past Appointments.

After you select or deselect the option, there will be a message box letting you know that the setting has been set.

How do I add an appointment to an archived/previous day?

  • In order to add an appointment to an archived/previous day, the morning index would have must have been run today.
  • Select your patient through the patient chart or the appointment calendar.
  • Calendar needs to be set to the current calendar date.
  • Double click on any time.  Now you will see a new calendar and time selector in the top right hand corner

After the date and time is selected, click on save. A pop up will occur asking you to confirm making an appointment for an archived (previous day).

When you click on Yes, the normal 3 options occur Print Routing Slip, Continue or Don't Print Intake Forms.

If you select continue, it will create the SNSlip for that date and time.

When looking at the date the appointment was added to in the Appointment Calendar, you will see that the appointment is made for that time.

At this point, you now have the ability to cancel this appointment. Click on the appointment time and then click Cancel Appointment.

The cancellation pop up window will now appear and you can enter a reason or just click complete cancellation.

*** Please note that at this time, if you cancel an appointment from an archived day and there is already an SNSlip populated, that slip will not be removed.  It will have to be removed manually.

The appointment will also show in the view past appointments for the patient.  However, this will not appear until the next day after the Morning index was run.
