Dear Trusted Sammy Clients:
We have been made aware of issues from the following Carriers that may impact your practice.
Carriers: Clearinghouse Electronic Code 142 and Availity Electronic Code 15
Over the weekend it appears that the “Clearinghouse” used to process Sammy clients’ claims to various third party payors experienced an issue that may have caused certain clients to receive and print previously processed ERA(s) and Reports. These duplicate ERA(s) and Reports were not submitted in duplicate or otherwise incorrectly processed, but merely represent a duplicate transmission from the Clearinghouse to Sammy.
Additionally, we have also received an alert from Availity that they are experiencing unusual power outages due to extreme weather conditions in Texas. As a result, you may have experienced intermittent inability to connect to Availity to submit claims and to download reports. As of 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, Availity reported that their systems are back online allowing connections to submit claims and receive reports. Please note, however, that Texas continues to experience extreme weather conditions and periodic power outages and we will continue to keep you updated on any further information we receive from Availity.
